Project Scope
Working on this double garage and front porch project was no easy task, but we were up for the challenge.
Arriving on the site we could see that the front porch and the garage had suffered some damage over the years. The old concrete floor had cracks in it and the layers of paint were stained and uneven.
We started off by repairing the front apron of the garage. Diamond grinding brought the surfaces back down to bare concrete and we could touch some cracks and rebuild from there. Epoxy mortar was used on the areas with significant damage that left holes and areas of badly damaged concrete.
Our team applied a black base coat of epoxy on the floor before using the ‘Café Black’ epoxy flake flooring finish from Vinyl Flakes Australia. This gives the flooring the darker colour which was chosen by the client – there’s numerous colours and finishes available.
Both the front porch and the garage now look eye-catching. It has given a whole new look to the house.
It’s amazing what a huge difference a new floor can make!
