Project Scope
We were recently called in to work on the newly built garage-extension for a client’s home in Henley Beach. The garage area was new and there were no cracks or no issues that you might get with old concrete slabs. It provided a near perfect base for the 70-square meter space’s new epoxy flake flooring.
Even with a new concrete slab, we still diamond grind to remove the laitance off the concrete to best prepare for epoxy flooring.
Partnering with the diamond grinder is our industrial dust extraction unit. The vacuum cleaner HEPA filter traps over 99.9% of dust with a grain size of under 2 microns. Which means when we diamond grind the concrete to make the surface perfect for epoxy, we’re also able to keep our clients, workers and other trades safe from airborne silica dust.
With the prep work completed, we installed the epoxy flake flooring in “Mica” to provide a beautiful textured look to the garage floor.
The new garage floor looked finished and matched the appeal of the home. While the new epoxy flake flooring had aesthetic value.
We’re told the garage area is going to be used as a garage, storage area and also a workshop – all of which epoxy flooring will easily withstand and compliment.
We’re very pleased with the result and so is our client!
