Project Scope
Anna and Gerry, our new clients from Pennington, approached us with their floor requirements for their existing shed.
The clients have used the shed heavily over the years, from storing old cars to a rumpus room and currently a barbershop for their son.
The 9m x 6m shed had a concrete floor that the clients recently painted. But due to poor floor preparation and the cheap products used, the paint started failing less than one year later, with significant ‘bubbling’ and signs of moisture trapped in a few different spots.
The clients specifically asked for a flooring solution that was easy to clean away the hair from the now operating barbershop and to be highly durable to still be able to work on the cars and other hobbies.
We love jobs like this.
The team started by:
- Removing the recently applied (but failing) paint on the floor.
- Followed by installing a moisture barrier system. We then;
- Patched the old cracks and holes in the floor, and the last job was to;
- Apply epoxy flake flooring using Vinyl Flakes Australia – Colour “Flint.”
What was once an old shed with a beaten, hard-to-clean floor now looks like a brand new space.
The floor is now easy to clean and will keep the moisture away while increasing the aesthetic value of the property: Everything our client had asked for!
