Project Scope
This shed we covered with epoxy has a similar story to lots of other sheds we work on:
- The owner wanted something to cover the floor but wasn’t sure what he could do outside of painting it.
- They wanted something stronger and easy to clean up spills from.
The 55 square metre shed was heavily used as a car garage and storage for pool pumps and equipment. The client came to us knowing he wanted epoxy to cover all his bases as he’d done his research on what would live up to the heavy use his shed gets. He wanted to make sure that the concrete slab that was only laid two years ago would be protected and last for many more years.
Epoxy will live up to everything a car garage can throw at it, but it will also withstand chemicals that come with the pool pumps and cleaning equipment. Epoxy was the right decision.
Firstly, we grinded back the concrete slab just enough to reveal an even layer of raw surface for the epoxy to bond with. After this detailed prep work, we laid out the new epoxy flake flooring in Ashen.
The end result is now the client has a shed that he knows will have a clean and undamaged floor for years to come and the pool chemicals are less of a worry. Epoxy was of course the right choice for all of this.
Now it’s time to roll the car back in, connect the pool pumps again and enjoy the space. Another mission accomplished for the Epoxy Adelaide team.
